| Details:
This post is in need of a
little tender loving care. A rare example of a guidepost with a road name instead of a location. (Another example is
Lime Kiln Lane, Birchanger.) By Maldon Iron Works to Essex C.C.
order number 1375 dated 17 February 1937. 3 feet 6 inches post
topped by a conical finial. The single 7 inch arm has been repaired in two
places. Ideally a sleeve should be fitted to the upper shaft so
the upper assembly will sit square in the post.
