Two of three
arms remain. Maldon Iron Works example in need of attention even
if only a lick of paint. Note the clamped on plates with the
faded road number B1352. The post was painted black and white
before being painted white overall.

With extensive
rust, two arms broken off and the remaining pair crudely repaired,
this Maldon Iron Works post at Thorrington Cross is not a very good
example of how a cast iron guidepost should be maintained. The
finial is interesting as parish name is given as THORINGTON (with a
single R).
